  • Explora is professionally cleaned nightly.

  • Hand sanitation stations are arranged throughout the exhibition space.

  • If you are feeling sick prior to your visit, we ask that you stay home.

  • Following the most current science, Explora has installed UVC lamps inside the air handler units. UVC light has been shown to inactivate viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens, including Covid-19.
  • Explora is professionally cleaned nightly. Additionally, Breezy One, an autonomous robot designed and built by Build With Robots in Albuquerque will disinfect all touch able surfaces in the exhibit space each day. Programmed to operate after hours, the robot disinfects both the first and second floors of the museum in roughly 30 minutes and is capable of eliminating up to 99.99% of pathogens. The space is completely safe for human occupancy after two hours of disinfection.
  • Explora will increase ventilation and airflow by keeping key doors open to maximize airflow.
  • Hand sanitation stations will be arranged throughout the exhibition space.
  • Social distancing is expected. Please keep a minimum of six feet away from other visitors and staff. Our team members and signage will help you navigate your visit.
  • In accordance with CDC guidelines for schools and childcare centers, Explora recommends face masks that cover the mouth and nose be worn at all times. This is recommended for everyone over the age of 2. This is for the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and especially our friends who are too young to be vaccinated!
  • Appropriate PPE is worn by all employees, based on their role and responsibilities, and in adherence to state and local regulations and guidance.
  • If you are feeling sick prior to your scheduled visit, we ask that you stay home.
  • Please refrain from eating or drinking during your visit; hopefully, picnics will resume later this summer!
